ABOUT KIM

Emmy-Nominated Casting Director · Coach · Director · Performer

I grew up on Siesta Key, Florida — the performer kid in a family of engineers. I moved to New York the day I graduated college, found my people at Ensemble Studio Theatre, and worked at MoMA as a Project Manager. I helped build Pixar's Art of Animation exhibition — a multimillion dollar show that went on to travel internationally and broke all kinds of records. Pixar brought me out to Northern California, where I started doing scratch voice overs for them almost immediately. Casting found me through a series of happy accidents — and I’ve lived on both sides of the table ever since.

PHILOSOPHY

When actors feel safe to play, production gets options.

That's not warmth for warmth's sake — that's the whole model. I believe the audition room and the recording booth should feel safe enough to take chances. I've been on both sides of the table my entire career — as a performer, a casting director, a coach, and a director — and that experience is the thing I bring to every project I touch.

I don't just find the right person for the part. I find good humans and bring them together. What a production team makes is a labor of love, and I take that seriously every single time.
